This Term III Integrated Science Lesson took place at Lea Elementary School with a class of fifth grade students. We worked in groups that consisted of three Penn student teachers and four fifth grade students. The first time that we visited the fifth grade students on November 6th, we worked on creating a terrarium. The second time we visited on November 13th, we created an aquarium. The second lesson is the one that I used for my Term III: Integrated Science Lesson.

Brief Description of the Lesson
Brief Description of the Lesson
This includes my own brief description of the lesson, how I feel it went, and what I feel was accomplished. I will talk about things that went differently than we had planned, why it might have happened, and the effect. Beyond my immediate personal reaction, I will talk about what I learned from reading and discussing the transcript of my observer and my video footage. I will talk about the student artifacts and how this material enhances my understanding of my students’ experience and learning.

If I were to follow this session with a next lesson, what would I do? What experiences do I want my students to have next? What outcomes would I try to have the students reach? How did what I learned from the lesson I taught inform this new plan?
What did I learn from teaching this lesson? What would I change if I were to teach this same lesson again? Are there content changes I would make? Would I structure things differently? Are there elements of teaching style that I need to think about and work on?
