(Timeline)
One of the paradoxes in teaching is the apparent contradiction between the dual needs of a) planning ahead, and b) being flexible. Because we believe equally in both these dicta, we ask you to imagine a timeline--but hope that you will do so in expectation that things need not play out exactly as you plan. In your timeline please note key activities, performances of understanding, and on-going assessments for your unit. Note that you and your CM may decide that you should begin your study before your two weeks of full responsibility teaching and/or extend it after this period. Either way, pin down when you hope it to begin and when you anticipate it will end. We are often asked whether this timeline should include student activities that are not part of the integrated curriculum such as gym or lunch, or math in a unit that does not integrate that content area. The answer is: whatever works best for you. If you chose to include the whole schedule, please highlight the elements of the unit in some way (bolding, color, etc.)
